What is the Power Apps per app license?

The Power Apps per app license is a licensing model that gives users access to one or a few specific applications within the Power Platform. What has changed since January 2, 2026?

Since 2 Januari 2026 New customers will no longer be able to purchase Power Apps per app licenses. For existing customers, licenses will remain available and can be renewed in many cases. The impact varies by agreement type:

  • Enterprise Agreement (EA): The environment remains unchanged, and licenses can be renewed. Users can be flexibly added or modified during the EA term.
  • Cloud Solution Provider (CSP): Existing subscriptions remain active and can be renewed as usual.
  • Microsoft Products and Services Agreement (MPSA): The SKU is no longer offered. Current contracts remain valid, but after expiration, a 60-day transition period applies to switch to an alternative licensing model.

For organizations with an MPSA agreement, it is important to anticipate in a timely manner so that employees retain access to essential applications.
