Starting June 1, 2025, Microsoft is introducing an important change to its Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) program: three-year subscription options for Microsoft 365 E3 and E5. The new three-year subscriptions are available for Microsoft 365 E3 and E5 without Teams, as well as as a standalone license for Microsoft Teams Enterprise.

Licenses can only be purchased with annual payments or full pre-payment, and require a minimum purchase of 100 licenses. EA customers who currently have “with Teams” subscriptions can retain their Teams entitlements when they renew their subscription to CSP.

Starting July 1, 2025, Microsoft will expand this offering with three-year terms for the E5 Security and E5 Compliance suites, specifically targeted at organizations that need advanced security and compliance solutions.

Microsoft is encouraging organizations to make the switch by making new promotions available. There is a limited-time 10% discount for companies that are new to E3 or E5 in the CSP model with three-year subscriptions. In addition, the 15% discount on Microsoft 365 Copilot is being extended until June 30, 2025. These promotions are only available to new customers of these products, and will run until the end of December 2025.
